When storing timber, it is essential that there is sufficient airflow around the product to ensure that the wood can ‘breathe’. It is imperative that your storage space has excellent ventilation to avoid the timber taking on too much moisture which can ruin stock. ‘Open’ warehouses, rack-clad buildings, and canopied cantilever systems in an outdoor yard are all excellent options for timber storage.
It is also important that timber is stored flat, on a solid surface, to avoid warping and sagging.
Improper timber storage can lead to spoiled stock and expensive production delays.

Long, heavy wood sheets or strips can be effectively stored on cantilever racking for easy access with a forklift while maintaining a small footprint on your warehouse floor.
Space Productiv cantilever racking is SEMA certified and manufactured in our UK factory to the highest possible standards. We offer a range of finishes, including galvanised systems to protect against corrosion and prolong the life of your racking system.
Racking can be either single or double-sided. Column height is typically up to 10m and the length of your cantilever racking system is limited only by your available space.
